HOW TO FIND US

There may be shorter routes than these but these are the easiest to follow.

There are some car parking spaces at certain times in some of the roads around the Briar Rose but unless you know the area well it would be best to follow the directions given below.

Ask at the Briar Rose Hotel Reception for our meeting room.

BY CAR

From Holloway Circus turn onto Smallbrook Queensway and take the first road on the left (Hill Street). Go up Hill Street to the traffic lights at the crossroads and turn right into Navigation Street. Take the first left (Pinfold Street) and then the first right (Stephenson Street). This will bring you back onto Navigation Street but facing back towards the crossroads. To your left you will see the entrance to a car park.

When you have parked make your way to the junction of New Street and Corporation Street and face the traffic flow. Turn left past the Information Point and walk up New Street towards Victoria Square. Bennetts Hill is the fourth street/passage on your right almost at the top of the hill. Turn into Bennetts Hill and the Briar Rose Hotel is on your right, just before the pub of the same name.

BY BUS

(1) From Corporation Street by the Law Courts: Walk back and cross over Old Square traffic island past The Square Peg pub on your right. Keep walking along Corporation Street until you get to New Street. Turn right past the Information Point and walk up New Street towards Victoria Square. Bennetts Hill is the fourth street/passage on your right almost at the top of the hill. Turn into Bennetts Hill and the Briar Rose Hotel is on your right, just before the pub of the same name.

(2) From Corporation Street facing New Street Station: Walk with the traffic flow until you reach New Street. Turn right into New Street then as in (1) above.

(3) From Moor Street Station area: Opposite Moor Street Station is Carrs Lane, walk up it to High Street. Turn left until you reach New Street on your right. Walk up New Street past Corporation Street on your right, past the Information Point and continue up New Street as in (1) above.

(4) From Colmore Row: Walk with the traffic flow past the Cathedral, Cemetery and Temple Row until you reach Bennetts Hill on your left. Walk down the Hill almost to the bottom where you will find the Briar Rose Hotel on your left just past the pub of the same name.

(5) From (upper) Bull Street: If you alight on the left hand pavement by the shops walk with the traffic flow through a short arcade to Colmore Row. If you alight on the island cross the island and the road on your left to the pavement by the shops then walk with the traffic flow through the arcade to Colmore Row. Turn left and proceed as in (4) above.

(6) From (lower) Bull Street: Walk back up the hill to Corporation Street. Cross over to (upper) Bull Street then proceed as in (5) above.

BY TRAIN / METRO

(7) From New Street Station: Pass through the main ticket barrier (not the Victoria Square exit) and go up the escalator opposite. Turn left and go round the corner to the New Street entrance/exit at the junction of New Street and Corporation Street. Go down the ramp, turn left and cross the road to go past the Information Point. Walk up New Street as in (1) above.

(8) From Snow Hill Station: From the main exit cross to the opposite side of Colmore Row via the crossing. Turn right and proceed as in (4) above.

BY OTHER MEANS

Or if you become lost ask for New Street or New Street Railway Station. From the New Street/Corporation Street junction ramp make your way as in (7) above
